Elysha graduated from San Francisco School of Massage in 2011 and has since continued to study Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release, Stretching and Joint Mobilization, and Zero Balancing. The benefits of practicing and studying bodywork have been tremendous. It has put her in touch with her own body in a way that she never would have been able to imagine previously, and has enriched her vocal art.
While massage can be wonderfully relaxing, most people come to massage seeking relief from pain and tension that they carry in specific places. Elysha works with clients to develop a shared understanding of their bodies, and has an insightful, responsive touch. She is equipped with bodywork therapy techniques such as stretches, deep tissue and myofascial release to help clients reach their goals. The power of myofascial release to stretch and clear out stiffness from our connective tissues is often forgotten, but brings a wonderful sense of well-being and freedom.

Elysha has been practicing the hands-on therapy Zero Balancing for over a year and is in the certification process.
This a description of zero balancing is drawn from the Zero Balancing website:
Developed by Fritz Smith, MD in the early 1970s, Zero Balancing is a powerful body-mind therapy that uses skilled touch to address the relationship between energy and structures of the body. Following a protocol that typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes, the practitioner uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize.
Zero Balancing focuses primarily on key joints of our skeleton that conduct and balance forces of gravity, posture and movement. By addressing the deepest and densest tissues of the body along with soft tissue and energy fields, Zero Balancing helps to clear blocks in the body’s energy flow, amplify vitality and contribute to better postural alignment. A Zero Balancing session leaves you with a wonderful feeling of inner harmony and organization.
Zero Balancing can help relieve body aches and pain, release restrictions in movement, and provide lasting relief from emotional distress to improve overall quality of life. Zero Balancing can also be helpful with specific goals such as relief from back pain, improving concentration or sleep, releasing unwanted stress, eliminating old behavior patterns, or boosting well-being. Zero Balancing works in conjunction with medical therapy and is not a substitute for it.
It is ideal to book three consecutive sessions, spaced about a week or two apart. This gives the body the chance to really benefit from the ZB, as layers of new and old tensions start to melt away. After that, you will have a sense of when you want to make your next appointment – if you are still ‘mid process’ or if is time to space sessions out more.
$60/session (sliding scale offered)
If you need to cancel your appointment, make sure you call with 24 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged $20 for the missed session.
Corporations are increasingly embracing chair massage as a great way to promote health and morale in the working environment. At private events, from fundraisers to parties, offering chair massage gives guests the opportunity to unwind and be cared for, inviting them into their healing process.
Elysha provides chair massage frequently, most often as part of Frank Lopez's team of therapists, but also with Oasis Traveling Spa. She finds that the chair provides unique ways to approach the upper body, with the same therapeutic tools she brings to the table.
